Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone can help? Can anyone tell me if this is the calories for raw or cooked weight rice? I measure my rice once it has cooked, so I've been putting 75g of cooked rice on my plate to eat assuming it's 234 calories but it has just occurred that that might be the raw weight! I can't check the packaging either because i pop it in tuppaware once its opened! I've tried to put on a screenshot but it won't let me. It says Aldi Basmati Rice 75g 234 calories. Just wasn't sure if I'm overestimating my calories (not a bad thing!) Or not! Thank you! 😊

There's about 100 calories in 75 grams of cooked rice. 234 calories is for 75g uncooked. Nutritional labels are for raw or uncooked most of the time and they will state otherwise if not. For the database you'd want to use the word "cooked" in your search as a random entry for rice is more likely than not going to be for uncooked as the database is crowdsourced and most entries come from nutritional labels which are usually uncooked or raw.1

Thank you so much for the reply! I really appreciate it, thought it seemed like loads of calories for what I had on my plate!0
