New here, recently retired

About 15 years ago I was training hard for Ironman triathlons and had lost enough weight that several people asked if I was sick. Sadly, the workouts slowly tapered off since then and I've gained 70 lbs. I'm tall and fairly athleticly built so it wasn't very obvious at first but has become more so in recent years. Now that I've retired, my activity level has taken another hit, to the point where I'm now resolving to do something about the extra weight and declining fitness.

I'm new to MFP, and this type of app in general, so I'll be stumbling about for a bit. Good luck to everyone else here, in their journeys great or small.
