New

Just joined up today. I’ve been on a general health journey for a few months now. Down 60ish pounds and gained so much knowledge. Couldn’t be happier.

Welcome to MFP and congratulations on your success.

I lost twenty or thirty before my dietician told me about MFP. It was vastly helpful losing the rest and carrying on into maintenance.

Hope to see you around on the boards!

I’ve been using a lesser free app for the last few months but that’s getting shut down so figured I’d just go with mfp.

Thanks for the encouragement. Add me stay in touch. Share your secrets to success.

Lolol. No real secrets. Exercise and a strict cap on sweets and nom-noms. I still eat them, but boy oh boy, not like i used to.

Seriously, counting calories and weighing food made me so much more aware of how small “servings sizes” really were, and how much stinkin’ effort it took to burn a calorie.

Once that lightbulb clicked everything fell into place. I started making informed decisions. I’m amused by some magazine or website I see occasionally named “This, Not That”. That kind of sums it all up.
