I’m taking part in a trial that will hopefully put my T2 diabetes into remission based on a study by the University of Newcastle. I’m following a vlcd and getting support fortnightly from a registered dietician. I’m using a product called Optifast. I’m on week 6 so halfway through Phase 1.

I've read about that study. Its results are encouraging! My doctor certainly believes that weight loss has a big impact on diabetes. I've lost 33 pounds since my T2 diagnosis in March. I can see the improvements in the finger stick readings and I'm looking forward to having my a1c done in a few weeks.
I wish you the best!0
