Can you be a bit more specific? I can give you some good travel advice for Georgia (country), but I'm not sure if you're after this info.

I travel every month or two, usually 2-3 days, sometimes longer. Whatโ€™s been working for me is to let that week be a maintenance week. Iโ€™ll eat at the lower end of my calorie goal for the days before and after to bank some up for the trip. Iโ€™ll also try to get more calories from my Fitbit during the tripโ€”which isnโ€™t hard to do on vacation if youโ€™re doing fun things!

As long as I come in under what my maintenance calories would be for the week, it gives me room to eat good vacation food. I love trying local specialties and canโ€™t imagine not partaking!

Enjoy it, but don't go overboard.

I pack some protein bars and whey powder in advance, and schedule a deload week for a trip. My deload week wouldn't typically be 7-10 days with no weights, but by planning the trip time to coincide with a deload then I only end up "losing" a few days of lifting compared to normal.

I'll avoid the temptation of treats in the week or two before the trip, knowing I'll be having plenty later. So maybe I lose a bit of weight in the week before, and gain it back during the trip. That's fine by me.

Don't worry about calorie tracking, but do try to have healthier meals where possible. Visit a local grocery store to get some healthy snacks, granola bars, etc.

If you're in a restaurant, enjoy it, you're on vacation. In the long run, it doesn't matter.

Try to fit in more walking/hiking or other activities which get you moving.

When you come back, any weight gain may be temporary water weight, but even if you gained a little, it's no big deal, and your body appreciates a break from the stress. The physical and mental break sets you up well to continue the journey. You may have to be diligent on your return to return to tracking and regular exercise asap. Don't let that slide.

Looks like you've got a lot of good advice. Don't let your "diet" ruin your vacation. Try to eat "healthy" most of the time you're gone. Partake in one or two local goodies while gone. Have a plan in place to get right back on track the minute you get home. Don't worry. How long do you think it will take to lose your weight? How long is your vacation? Add the two together to get your new projected date to reach goal. 1 year to lose the weight? + 3 days vacation at maintenance = new projected date of 1 year and three days. Don't worry. Have fun!
