To cut or not to cut?

I wanted to know whether I should drop my body fat % before going on a bulk?

My scales aren’t the greatest but tell me I’m at 22% currently, I’d predict it’s more around 18%.

Let me know what you think

If you're at that percent, you probably don't need to bulk... I would consider that already bulked... but that's just me. So yes, if it were me, I'd drop my body fat just a bit more. Assuming it's accurate.

Bulking will mean you add body fat. Why not just up your calories a little more and bulk up now and cut later.

Your scales are probably poor at estimating.

What makes you think 18%? Try the Navy method, if you're just guessing at the moment.

Assuming you're being optimistic and you're around 20%, assuming male (are you?), then you should be cutting to 15% or so. Or at least to below 18%.
