Hi everyone. Just decided I'd give it a go. Day one down. 27 more days to go.

You need longer than 28 days. It will take a couple of months for changes you’ve made to settle in.
You’ll probably experience a comparatively large weight loss during the honeymoon period of the first two weeks, followed by a gain the next week or two.
If you’re eating new foods, that’s going to cause yo-yo’ing. And if you begin new exercise, expect a gain-potentially several pounds, of water weight as your body tries to deal with unfamiliar stress, strain and soreness.
Your weight loss graph should look like a sawtooth mountain.
Weight loss is not a straight downward slope. That’s what 98% of the people here who fail expect. Their expectations are over-expectations and not based on real life at all.
I’d implore you to give it 90 days, with religious logging and weighing along the way, as well as genuine thought of how you can change old habits and keep new ones well into maintenance.
