If it’s any comfort, I just ate a whole box of See’s assorted chocolates.

Except for the three my husband ate! 😬😂😂😂

I’m just grateful that last time I bought a box at the airport, I had the foresight to buy the single layer box instead of the double. It was delish and I have no regrets.

I’m also grateful it’s out of the freezer and no longer niggling at me.

Lol, the way I eat ice cream is I look to see how much a serving is in grams. Then I put the container on a scale and just eat out of it till I've eaten the amount of grams allowed for one serving, then put it back in the freezer. Works for me.

Don't really like milk. But if I had milk, I weigh it too.

Points for participation, but that's a bit like showing up at an AA meeting and announcing, "The way I drink is to pour out exactly 30ml. of whiskey, then put the bottle back in the liquor cabinet. Works for me!" 🤣
Yeah, I hear ya. If it wasn't for a food scale, I could easily eat a pint at a time. Chunkey Monkey for the win!

I'm all about the 100-calorie cups of Breyers slow churned vanilla for exactly this reason. It's packaging-inefficient, and I know there are more cups downstairs in the chest freezer, but somehow it helps me moderate. YMMV.

PSA: So good with some pomegranate molasses on top!

MMdoesV! Those 100 calorie cups would be a pile of empties in under an hour. Ice cream is my kryptonite. There can not be more anywhere in the house. 🤣 I know this, but once every year or so I get ice cream amnesia and bring some home. Happily, a great sale on bananas along with a daily 8 pint of fresh picked berries has resulted in enough Yonanas machine fodder to quell the ice cream urge until the next bout of forgetfulness.

There’s a father-son stand at my daughter’s farmers market that does frozen bananas forced through a juicer.

It’s so creamy you’d swear it was a milk-based ice cream.

That's what the Yonanas was built for! It is exactly like ice cream. Right now, I am picking about a pint of wild black raspberries every day. I freeze them and throw a handful in with the bananas. So good!... and without the 1900 calories in that "single serving" of dark chocolate espresso. ;)

Just got back from the grocery store with one of those (except vanilla), among other things, and there wasn't quite as much space in the freezer as I had thought.

I spent a little time considering how much ice cream I would have to eat to fit the remainder into a smaller container that would save enough space to make everything fit! Seemed like half (24 oz) would do the trick. And that would be OK, because when you say it's not one serving, that means it's two servings, right?

In the end I took the waffles and pretzels out of their space-hogging boxes (still in airtight plastic bags) and made everything fit.

That's EXACTLY how mine became a single serving! I should add that it was more of a daily serving since I didn't eat the whole tub in one go... but just long enough to restore the displaced freezer items before they thawed in the fridge. I'm nothing if not efficient. 🤣

That's what I do. And then an hour later, I take it back out of the freezer and do it again. And again. Maybe. Sometimes the second again kills the pint.

I pretty much have a rule that I only eat ice cream out; and even then, it's typically a family fun day or vacation or something like that. The only time I bring it into the house is for the kids' birthdays.

For all of us that have a tendency to gain weight: There's always certain foods that are particularly hard to regulate. Single serving is a good approach.

The hardest foods for me are things like Pepperidge Farm double dark chocolate Milano cookies.

I know y’all are sick of me and my Ninja, but I’m tellin’ yall, this thing has changed my life:

    aqn1ayb50eom.jpeg

Some low fat yogurt or skyr, sugar free pudding mix, and ice water for an ice cream base. Freeze the cup overnight, stick it in the machine, and you have delicious, creamy ice cream. I can easily do a basic ice cream for 100 calories for a little over half a pint serving.

(It takes a little over 7 cups to fill 3 containers).

I’ve tried PBP, cocoa powder, frozen blueberries, frozen cherries, ricotta, light sour cream, even made a darn good banana pudding ice cream by adding a banana, and some vanilla extract to the vanilla base, and crumbling a quarter of a graham cracker on top. A plain vanilla base with a Diet Barq’s makes an awesome (and huge!!!) rootbeer float for under 100 calories.

A can of crushed oineapple in juice makes the lightest frothiest sorbet you can imagine, and with a couple maraschino cherries and a spoonful of cherry juice…….well, if this is low cal eating, then pinch me, cuz I’m the happiest camper around.

Tonight is low fat yogurt, sugar free chocolate pudding mix, coconut extract and some coconut Skinny syrup, with a couple grams of unsweetened cocoa. The yogurt makes the chocolate ice cream have a nice “tang”. Top with spray whipped cream and 3gr Alesto chocolate coconut flakes. I can’t wait til dessert.

My husband is like a little puppy every night, hanging around underfoot for (ice cream) handouts lol.

I feel the same way about my Yonanas Frozen Treat Maker. I just scored a great deal on bananas which are now all in my freezer along with berries and other frozen fruit. I like the Yonanas since refreezing isn't necessary. It comes out of the machine at perfect ice cream consistency.

I usually try to have an alternative treat in the house for myself that I can indulge in. I usually have a treat every night.

Yasso greek yogurt bars have been a life saver for me. They are 80-100 cals each are creamy and absolutely delicious. They have so many flavors! Sometimes I will eat 2 and it can still easily fit into my macros. They also have about 5gms of protein per bar as well.

The only negative is they can be a little pricey compared to regular ice cream, I usually try to buy them when they are on sale and I stock up.

Feel free to friend me, this community is amazing and we are all in this together!
