App won't work on my mobile.

Good morning. I have just set up MFP on my chromebook, I then went to download the app on my phone (a Moto G5) but it came up with a message saying this app won't work on your phone and wouldn't let me download it. Can anyone help?

    We are sorry for the issues you are having. We believe the issue is that your device may not be running on a compatible operating system as a result of security updates we are required to make to improve our program. Please check your device to see if you are due for any updates.

    To check your Operating System:
    On iOS - Go to the Settings app >> General >> About >> Version
    On Android - Go to the Settings app >> About Phone >> Android Version or Firmware version

    If you have an Operating System version lower than 9.0 (Android) or 14.0 (iOS), these versions are no longer supported, but may still temporarily offer limited access. If you do not have access, you can still access your account through our main website on supported devices at www.myfitnesspal.com.
    In December 2020 Under Armour sold MyFitnessPal. Some older versions of the app point toward web services hosted by Under Armour that will no longer be supported
