I'm sure this app is faulty

Been on here 2yrs and I eat exactly the same food daily. Im a creature of habit and still love these meals. Fresh chicken breasts in a tortilla wrap with garden salad and fruit, I never eat junk food. Up until a few months ago my weight prediction was always the same. Now it's added a few pounds extra each day to my monthly prediction? I also do same exercises daily too. So how come it's changed since a few months ago? I'm disheartened with this app now and may look for another one

You are posting on the maintaining weight section. So are you still maintaining in real life or is it just the silly "in five weeks" close out that is bothering you. Real life is better than a projection.4

If you're meals are exactly the same and exercise the same, but weight went up it's not on the app. You're older now and metabolic rate can slow. Also if it's been the same exercise over and over, then body can adapt to it. Try first by making your exericse a little more difficult by either adding higher resistance or duration.

Is your weight going up in line with the projection?
If not, no reason to worry about it.
From day 1 here, MFP's 5-week projection of my weight was crazy far off from reality. I used to just ignore it, but since I've been staying up late a lot lately and finishing logging after midnight, I stopped even bothering to close my MFP dairy. (Everything works fine if you don't close your diary, except you don't get the projection, and it won't post the message to your timeline - if after midnight, it doesn't post the message anyway.)
I've been here for almost 8 years now, just under a year of loss, the rest maintenance. My weight does what I expect based on my calorie intake. The projection is just statistics, maybe loosely helpful for a few people starting out (?), but not a crystal ball about what will happen to your body weight.
If you've been meeting your weight goals so far eating/moving in the ways you have been, you'll almost certainly continue on that same course (other than maybe needing to reduce calories eventually as you get lighter if you're still losing . . . but even that isn't true for everyone, either).
Don't worry about it.6 -
Closing the diary to get a weight prediction, and also reacting to that estimate, all seems pointless to me. I've been here for several years, never closed my diary once.
Your real world weight change over time is vastly more informative. If your tracking is accurate, that gives you a far more accurate estimate of your current TDEE (and if you are maintaining your weight, therefore your maintenance calories), than any calculator on any site can hope to achieve.6 -
Yeah. I never close the day's entry. No need. If you are able to have your weight where you want it, why worry about a gimmicky thing like, "In five weeks..."
This site is kind of glitchy, but it's still the one that works best for my needs. Good luck finding one that's free and better. There isn't one
You can see if it's already been reported or you can report an error if you feel it's on the programming side here: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002215711-Troubleshooting

If it bothers you so much to see that little 'prediction'...then simply do not 'finish' your diary and then you don't have to see it anymore.7
