Stepping into a new phase in my life - we’re about 10 days away from having our first child. It’s been a difficult last few months having gained weight (a healthy amount), losing fitness (though still working out often and moving everyday) and feeling out of control of my body. I am so excited to meet our lil human, so grateful that I’ve had a healthy pregnancy and have had the opportunity to remain active and so proud of my body for building this miracle inside of me. But it would be naive if I didn’t recognize the difficulties that comes alongside of that in regards to body image and emotional challenges.

Soon we will welcome our lil one and our lives will change and the challenges presented will be new and will require a new level of patience and understanding for self. Soon, I recognize, that my body will change further and I’ll have to navigate endurance training and nutrition with a new perspective.

And hopefully there are a few of you out there who can offer some empathy and guidance :)
