Hello! I'm a 43 year old mom of 3 from Southern California. I've been using myfitnesspal for over 2 years now, and am finally learning how to use this feature š I could use some friends that are in the same boat as me. Here's a little bit of my story.
I started my weight loss journey 2 years ago when I hit 305lbs. I successfully lost about 70 lbs on my own, but ran into some health issues about a year into my journey. Funny, I was getting healthy, eating right, exercising almost every day, and BAM, I was hit with Afib in February of last year. Had some other heart tests done and found I have a 30-40% blockage of my LAD artery (the widowmaker) that diagnosis definitely made me feel defeated. I lived my 20s and 30s not caring about my health ever, and now it's caught up to me. I am now even more obsessed with getting healthy and being there for my kids. I stalled out on my weight loss for months after my diagnosis, I believe it was from the many medications I was put on. I finally decided to have weight loss surgery to help me continue my journey. I had that done in April of this year, and have since lost another 29 lbs. I am actually just ONE pound from 100lb weight loss from my heaviest! And 41 lbs from my goal weight. I am hoping to connect with anyone who has struggled like I have, it would be nice to swap stories and meet new people! Thanks for listening! š
