Tracking caffeine in Food Diary

I would like to track caffeine intake in my daily Food Diary but when I list Coke Zero it doesn't account for it, only Sodium. Any suggestions?

There is no field for caffeine in MFP database records, probably because it's not required information on U.S. nutrition labels, so you're not going to be able to do it without some major work around.

For example, you could decide to pretend that calcium is caffeine, make calcium one of the five nutrients that you display in your diary, and create new personal entries (please don't share this in the public database) where you put whatever caffeine value you've researched for all the foods and drinks you consume in the calcium field, and then remember when you look at your diary that "calcium" is really caffeine.

Or, you could track your caffeine intake on a piece of paper and at the end of the day enter it under the progress in a new "caffeine" field (you're allowed to create new fields in the progress section -- although I think you may have to do this on the website, where it's called "check-in"). That information will be saved and you can see a graph tracking it in the progress section.

Does your Coke Zero bottle tell you how much caffeine it has?
