Welcome (back?)! I joined MFP at about the same point in life, age 59 - except I joined in July, turning 60 that November. I'm 67 now, and have been at a healthy weight for 7+ years now, after around 30 years before that of overweight/obesity.

You are absolutely right that it won't be easy every second, but I have to say the process was simpler (in practical terms) than I'd anticipated, once I committed to it. You're even more right - if your experience is like mine - that it's worthwhile in ways that are expected, but others that are a wonderful surprise.

It absolutely can be done. It absolutely is worth the effort. I'm cheering for you!
