Will my Apple Watch do this? Body pump

I’ve started to attend Les Mills body pump sessions at my local leisure centre. I’ve not had my Apple Watch long I only really use it to track my steps. Will it tell me how many calories I’ve burned during my body pump session? Using my own weight and height ect not a generic calorie burn? Thanks

It won't be 'generic': it will be based on your personal stats and your heart rate.
That being said, it will still only be an estimate, no guarantees regarding accuracy...1 -
Maybe try tracking by choosing “functional strength training”.
Choose Functional Strength Training when performing dynamic strength sequences for the upper body, lower body, or full body, using small equipment like dumbbells, resistance bands, and medicine balls or with no equipment at all.0 -
It will, but in most cases many watches over estimate the total calories burned. In Body Pump if it says your burning over 500 calories in hour, it's not likely unless you're pretty heavy (250+lbs).
