I'm not sure any of these energy drinks give more than a very temporary burst, along with some placebo effect.

Perhaps look at the quality/quantity of your sleep instead of trying to get energy from a drink. Energy drinks coffee may give you a boost but may also interfere with your sleep quality even hours later. Caffeine has a half-life, you can't just turn it off when you are ready to sleep. That can lead to a vicious cycle of increasing "wired and tired" exhaustion.

It looks like a decent chunk of the "energy" in the Alani drinks is coming from caffeine.

When we routinely consume a certain amount of caffeine daily, our bodies can get adapted to it, and it can take a larger dose of caffeine to get the same energy boost.

You've been getting caffeine from your coffee. Maybe that has you adapted enough that the Alani drinks don't have the same effect they used to have.

I have no way to know for sure, though.

Caffeine usage will eventually lead to a tolerance of it and you'll need to up the dosage to feel effects. Lol, I'm on 600mg a day now just to feel up.
