Weightloss

I'm from Jamaica and I'm currently trying to lose 30lbs with healthier eating habits. I also need to start doing some home workouts...and suggestions?

    Hello, and welcome! What kind of healthy eating appeals to you? Whatever you do, you’ll want to choose a direction you like so you can maintain it.

    Keep in mind that healthier eating, while imho very important for your health, is not enough alone to lead to weight loss - you can eat healthy without being in a calorie deficit.

    But many people find that eating lots of whole foods, fruits, veggies, legumes, etc., helps them to feel more satisfied and feed the body effectively while still being able to eat at a calorie deficit.

    What kind of physical activity do you enjoy? Same thing, pick something YOU enjoy, so you can be successful! Cycling, yoga, weights, dance-based workouts, running, swimming…? It’s recommended to do some cardio and some strength both, but you could just start with one for a while. A lot of people go crazy but then burn out - better to start slow, learn, adjust, keep it up, progress, and then find you have the bandwidth for more.
