6 days left of our challenge. I did get on my scale and gained a few but not as bad as I thought. I'lll do a final weigh in next week.

    Have a great day!

For the month of October I have been doing a self-challenge of 10K steps daily. In the last weeks I have noticed improved ‘slow jogging’ times.
Sharing a video showing my slow jogging. Guess it really is a thing 👍

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4lCJGCkjR8

    Wish we could walk/jog together
    Best wishes in your journey

@200Karen Thanks for this video! I really need to walk 30 min. each day rain or shine. At work, I get 10,000 steps per day but it's not the same. Walking in nature, outside with the fall leaves, would serve me well.

I used to jog and do 5K runs. I am a slow jogger - I could never get my feet up much as I ran. That's just my natural ability or inability. LOL I think slow jogging would have many benefits and not be hard on the knees. Maybe I will work up to that slow jog again.

    10/17-185.8-(Trend Weight: 186.3)-

10/24-186.6-(Trend Weight: 186.)- Weighed in after a day of travel with several restaurant meals. Of course, I’m not happy with this number. The only thing I can do is to do something about it. Less food and more movement and exercise which is completely opposite of a travel day. I can do that, but I don’t think I can make my October goal now. That makes me sad, but I am glad to still have dropped some pounds during the challenge and put myself into a new decade.

10/31-181.4-(Trend Weight: 184.9)- I am thrilled that I managed to pull it off this week and exceed my October goal. I did really well with both diet and exercise nearly every day (one day did have a restaurant meal that put me over). I increased my exercise but it made me sick last night so the last 1.5 pounds was because I couldn’t eat much yesterday, but I’ll take full credit for the rest of it. My full challenge goal was to lose 12 pounds and I have shed 12.4. I think it’s the first time in a few years I’ve made goal. Great job everyone for showing up and doing so well in so many ways. I’m proud of us all! See you tomorrow in the November round.

I am a 5'3" retiree and started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is 145.

Highest weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs

Previous weight as of Oct 27: 156.7

    Nov 4: 156.5
    Nov 9: 154.7

I'm super excited to finally reach 75 lbs lost! Less than 10 lbs to go before I reach my final goal and this is my lowest weight in over 15 years.

This is the most I've dropped in one week for quite some time. I've been fighting with the same 2 lbs since the end of May but I dare to hope that I've finally broken that plateau.

    Have a great week!

    Challenge Goal: 3 lbs (153.5)
    Challenge Actual: 2 lbs

I'm immensely grateful to you for creating these challenges and keeping the discussions going on. Also, thank you all for this positive journey for our healthy living goals. I call it healthy living because in the process of losing weight, I started realizing how much mother nature has given us to eat, and how adding more natural foods in our diet takes care of so many health problems.
I joined these challenges exactly an year ago, when I couldn't get into any of my new clothes for a festival, and ended up wearing the loosest outfit.
In the last one year, I have made steady progress, from -
    1) counting my calories,
    2) to becoming aware of what I was eating,
    3) to coming to a stage where I am fully aware of what I should eat
    4) buying only limited grocery items
    5) keeping my fridge empty of unnecessary food items.
The results of this last one year's "aware eating" have been very pleasant for me.
I have lost 20 pounds in this whole year.
Six months ago, I had purchased a top which fitted me perfectly, today, it was hanging on my shoulders and felt like two sizes bigger.
I'm really, really happy of this journey. It has made me more positive, so I'll join the next challenge too.
    Thank you everyone.

Weight is back up again but it's no surprise. I've been sick so have been slacking on my exercise as well as not eating as healthy as usual. Plus, lots of soup = way too much sodium .

I'm feeling much better and got in a nice long cardio session this morning. I'll be eating everything I enjoy for the holiday today but in small portions.

Hope all of you in the USA have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm so happy to be on this journey together. I have been scared to weigh myself but will on Monday. I worked out yesterday so that's a positive. I drank wine- that's a negative. Too much sugar.

Today, I plan on eating sensibly and taking my time. Savor each bite.
