This is something my husband and I are doing for our anniversary this year. We have done it before so I know what I am getting into.

This will be logged as exercise....last time it was a 3 hour "trip" through this course...

We weren't going that fast of course but I was feeling it.

No I do not have a HRM and not sure if it would be appropriate anyway as there are a lot of stops and starts...

Any idea's????

Without a HRM I can't see how you could anywhere near accurately guesstimate this.

Distance apps such as "map my run" etc will be pointless.

I suppose you could use something like "circuit training" in the list here and be VERY honest with yourself how much of that 3 hours you were actually active versus queueing for something, faffing etc. It would be a very rough guess.

Personally without a HRM I wouldn't log it. Just take it as a bonus exercise.

3 hours on this course is not bonus exercise trust me....Spring cleaning my house would be bonus to me. As I said I have done it before and it is a very hard workout. I suspect it would be enough to knock at least 1000 calories off.

I will probably just log 500 to be on the safe side or check circut training and cut that in half as there are not a tonne of stops and starts esp this late in their season.

I don't log exercise calories. I just eat a set amount of calories. Makes it much easier.

It's something you're going to be doing just one time? Then it really doesn't matter. Have a good time and don't worry about it. People on this site (not really talking about the OP) worry too much about one-off meals and activities. It's the repeatable things that we have to try to accurately log

I love Treego and it is intense; I wore my HRM the last time and it was around 900 cals burned for me

yeah...I wouldn't log it. I would just know I worked hard and enjoyed it.

But then again, I log all work outs as 1 calorie so it doesn't affect my intake totals.
