Calories burned

I just started this app yesterday. I walk five miles a day. The app is saying I burned 54 calories walking five miles. Every other tracker says 350+. What’s up with this? I don’t see a long and happy future if you think five miles of fast walking burns only 54 calories. 🤔

I presume you have a device linked to MFP? The 35 calories added are the calories you burned on top of your selected activity level. The higher your activity level in MFP, the more you need to walk or be otherwise active to get extra calories.

Also: those 350 calories you mention, depending on the source, potentially include your BMR calories for the duration of your walk which shouldn't be included in your adjustment on MFP.
