The best way to reduce inflammation in the body is to know your Toxic triggers. Toxic Triggers cause inflammation and inflammation causes pain due to the lymphatic system is congested and the nerves in the fascia get irritated causing a chain reaction in the system(s) near the lymphatic congestion.
IE: Allergies to Food, Environmental, Chemical, and Emotional, and traumatic. When you decrease your inflammation you can decrease your pain. If you have pain you need to reduce inflammation. What causes you to have a lymphatic congestion response? Is is Preservatives, Mold, Dairy, Anger, Gluten, Sugar, Peanuts, Almonds, reaction to trauma? Clean eating is good for you.

I think what you can say is eating more whole foods would be better overall, although there are some things like frozen vegetables in bags that are just fine to consume.
But overall yes reducing inflammation will reduce pain. There are other things you can do with exercise to help reduce pain as well, especially with exercises that stretch out tendons and ligaments that are too tight and cause pain.
