Anyone else struggling to lose weight while going through menopause? I work out hard and the weight just won’t budge. The cravings are not helping either…

For how long are you trying to lose weight? For how long are you working out or changed your sports regime? Do you use a foodscale to log all your food and do you measure all drinks with calories? Do you feel comfortable to share your stats and chosen deficit with us? Then we can help you further.

YES- the food scale definitely helped me- no more guesstimating about how much I was eating.

Just working out won't do it. As others have said, it's the calorie balance that determines fat loss.

In menopause, I went from completely inactive and totally physical depleted (after cancer treatment, with a fresh hypothyroidism diagnosis) to training pretty hard 6 days a week and competing as an athlete, gradually over about a 2-year period. I stayed fat, class 1 obese most of the time, actually . . . stayed fat for a dozen years, doing that.

When I got the eating side of the routine in line is when weight loss happened for me. Maybe you're already doing that, or working on it . . . but when a post only mentions workouts, I wonder, which I think is natural.

Don't get me wrong, workouts are great, very beneficial . . . improved fitness improves quality of life, no question.

There are more details that are relevant, so answering questions in posts above would help us help you.
