Heaviest I have been

56 years old now 223 pounds. Most of my life I was always the skinny kid. Not anymore. I’m trying to control my diabetes better with low carb diet and exercise. I would appreciate any friends or support

    at my heaviest, i weighed 242 pounds and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. i lost 60 pounds doing food substitutions (non-fat milk instead of whole milk, non fat yogurt instead of low fat, light ice cream and so on). i ate 6 smaller meals per day with no fruits or juices to avoid spikes from bigger meals. i kept my carbs at under 20 grams per meal. it helped me control my glucose and lose , and next i started walking 10 minutes 3x per day.

    everyone is different, but those things made a difference for me.

    are you weighing and logging your food? i find it helped me to have a food scale right out on the counter rather than having to get it out.
