Restarting Keto

I was on keto about six years ago and lost around 80 pounds. I made a move back home after 30 years, changing my job of 12 years, and ended up gaining back all of the weight. I’m restarting it and really struggling this time with even liking the food. I guess I just need some encouragement, as I have about 100 pounds to lose and if I’m feeling this way already I’m a little concerned.

If you're struggling with liking the food, you won't stick to it. Just because keto worked for you before, doesn't mean that's what you have to do now. You can include all types of food while tracking calories and keeping yourself in a caloric deficit.

Maybe start off less restrictive. Even 120g's a day may help going fwd which basically ensures that grains, most starchy carbs and most fruit are not consumed leaving a generous provision for basically unlimited vegetables and allows for some seeds, nuts, berries and dairy. MCT oil is a decent way to get some exogenous ketones if you think you might need them. I use MCT for workouts and before sports, I play hockey, for the energy boost. Cheers

I was going to saw the same thing. While I now have lost more total weight eating what people would call a dirty keto diet, my rate of loss from before when I was simply counting calories to eating keto is basically identical. If you like keto do it. If you find you don't like the food, simply choose nutritious foods you like and count calories.
