A NSV success story

This weekend was a great success in my opinion. First went out to get a few new tools in helping my new lifestyle. My wife and I bought a new Food Scale, got new measuring cups and spoons (our old ones had making printed on plastic and were fading off) made of stainless steel with the measurments stamped on them. We all also bought a steamer to go on our pans so we can steam veggies. I felt great making this investment.

We also made sure to still get in some cardio in each day by either Biking or Walking. Had went to a picnic with her family. They were doing hot dogs and potatoe salad. So before hand I was looking up the Calorie counts and was not happy with how much I could eat for the amount of Calories. So my Wife and I using our new food scale made some Filling Wraps with Cottage Cheese and a Pickle on the side. We also made a fresh veggie bowl to share. So it was big victory that we choose what we would eat and not just what was offered. It feels good to know I can make choices that I know will fill me and not just settling for what was there.

So I just want to say I felt those were some big Victories for me over the Labor Day Weekend.

Great Job!! Sounds like you are making a great start.

I really need to buy a new food scale, because mine died a little while ago. But when I go shopping I forget to look for them in the store. There are so many different ones, it is also hard to decide which one. They are really a great tool to have.

I like the Joseph Joseph Folding TriScale. It folds up so it doesn't use up counter space and is small enough to keep handy so I actually use it.
