Newbie here.

Hey everyone. I’m new here name is Oliver. Trying to get green hang of MyFitnessPal and tracking. Idk about you guys but I’m having some issues hitting my macros perfectly. For example if I hit one I’ll go over in another or vise versa. And these are the main macros, forget about the micro. Impassible. How’d u guys do it? Any of u having the same issues and how can I get better at this.

    why do you need to perfectly hit your macros? if your main goal is weight loss, well, eating at a deficit - less calories - is what causes weight loss.

    macros are good for health, but MFP's are only a general thing, not specific to any individual's needs. i eat less sugars, more protein, and less carbs than MFP's original suggestions, and it's working fine for me.

    Don’t stress over macros. Calories are what matter. It’s like the forest for the trees thing.

    I found that after a while, I was eating so much better, my macros started to fall into place anyway.

    Instead of “chewing” on macro failures every day, check your 7-day view. I find that doing that I’m pretty close, and I can live with the seven day average, versus killing time manipulating the daily numbers.
