Yeah. Usually don't go to bed hungry.

Yes. For me (you may be different) it's usually not enough protein compared to carbs. I eat a low fat string cheese, or beef jerky, or true protein bar(not a sugary "protein " bar). More importantly, I try harder tomorrow. Today is gone. Learn a lesson and move on.

Why would you not eat if hungry because of some arbitrary calorie number?

How drastic have you cut your calories?

If you cut them drastically you probably need to reassess your approach and take it slower.

If you have only cut your cals by a couple hundred I can’t imagine you’d be hungry enough to keep you from sleeping.

I eat a small amount of protein like under 150 calories if I feel I need it, especially after I have a workout in the evening.

I usually fast 18 hours at least 5 days a week, so my body adapted to control hunger however eating during specific hours will help your body to control your hunger even if you are under your calories, I noticed that.
