You've triggered a memory of when I worked at a call center and a guy who lived in the UK called in and he said the name of the street he lived on so I asked him to spell it. He then did, but then proceeded to, in an exceptionally condescending tone, spell out his. full. address. for me which continued with "London. That's '"L" as in "London," "O" as in oval,"N" as in Nancy,"' etc. He legit spelled out everything else (including "United Kingdom" and ignored me when I told him that it was fine, I knew how to spell everything else. He then talked down to me for the rest of the phone call.
