IF - tracking calories for success?

Hi there :)

Just getting started with intermittent fasting. Trying to do the 16:8 window, where I’m eating from 11 a.m to 7 p.m.

I’m wanting to lose ten lbs. Currently 123, 5”2.

Has anyone done the 16:8, didn’t track calories, and lost weight? Could you share your experiences/advice/tips?
I haven’t tracked calories in a long time and am not against it, but I want to try to intuitively eat as much as possible.

What other benefits did you see from intermittent fasting? Any help would be appreciated :)

If IF causes you to take in fewer weekly calories then it’s a success. If it doesnt then it’s a waste of time and energy.

Hi! I have been into IF since January 02, 2023 up to present. Since then I have lost 10.5 kilograms. 16-8 works for me, I fast from 8pm to 12 noon and my eating window is 12 noon to 8pm. I have learned not to snack in the afternoons so I only eat 2 full meals a day and I drink 3 liters of water everyday. Through this app, I track the calories of the foods I eat. I do not check my weight everyday. I started to do IF because I was at risk of developing high blood pressure and I feel better now, gradually. I noticed on my 5th to 6th month that my old clothes fit better and I went from size 18 to size 14 as time goes by.
