Gallstone/gallbladder diet?

Hi all! I’m currently trying to manage symptoms pre-op with diet until I see my consultant in a month. Does anyone have any no oil, low fat, low everything recipes to keep me going? I’m using spiralised butternut squash or courgette (zucchini) for noodle alternatives that I can digest but even those leave me with bloating for hours after a meal! Thanks all.

Although you don't see your consultant for a month, they might have handouts they can give/email you. If they agree with this article that the Mediterranean Diet or DASH diet would be good for you, your library system should have cookbooks and there is a plethora of recipes online.

Did your Doctor tell you why this problem developed, considering there's many reasons, just curious. I would probably stay away from most processed foods and consume lean protein like fish, shrimp or soy, if not to overly processed and veg, steamed would be appropriate and use extra virgin olive oil sparingly when needed. Your going to have to manage your fat intake a little differently post op but it's really not as bad as most people think. Take care, Cheers.0
