I’m trying to make myself be positive like speak it into exsistance type conversation in my mind. I was 163 a month and 1 half ago now I’m 153, and my lean muscle went up and I lost a little smidgen of fat. I do feel motivated since it did something, but I get discouraged when I used to be 130 living off of all the sugary foods I really did enjoy at times and mindlessly ate them other times. Now they are a 10% deal when I’m committed to being a healthy eater 90% of the time. I can work out almost every day as long as I don’t go too crazy in the gym thinking I’m training for a championship MMA fight (just a fantasy, but I’ve actually exerted myself to injury in the past) so I have to learn that I can’t have it all at once. Ugh! But I am working on patience, I never thought how much emotional growth I’d have in this fitness journey. Although some things are really hard to get through inb life (addiction, mental health issues, cognitive distortions, toxic relationships, weight gain, injuries, hardships, etc.) I wouldn’t want to not have these issues to battle because I think I wouldn’t be a very good person after battling my demons. Like if my life was always great I would be a real adshole. So I guess I’m grateful for only losing 10 lbs. 🤔😕I guess I have to think that to believe it so I keep behaving in the ways I want to behave.

'"Only" 10 pounds? 10 pounds is really pretty much the max you can healthfully lose in a month and a half. You're doing great!2

I believe it.. mindset is powerful..
That which you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is that which you will experience in your life. Create the future you want by living the future you want,.. everyday 👍0 -
10 Lbs in 1.5 months isn't an "only" thing...that's a normal and healthy rate of loss...and for me would be on the higher side of normal.1

At your weight, 10 pounds in 6 weeks is fantastic. In fact, it's time to slow it down. (BTW, if you were 130 pounds when you were a lot younger than you are now, it may no longer be a realistic weight for you.)
Now, if you were a patient on "My 600 Pound Life," then, yes, 10 pounds in 6 weeks would only be a slight improvement.2
