Sedentary or Lightly Active setting

Mon-Fri 7a-390p schedule.. I have a desk job and on a typical day I walk back and forth from the copier, bathroom, breakroom etc. During my 15 min breaks (2 to be exact) I walk at a pretty fast pace (16 min mile). Once home I will do a few chores and then do an actual workout for 30-45 min, dinner watch a little TV with the hubby then off to bed. Saturday consist of a 45-60 min workout, out and about sometimes or just dealing my 8month old baby and relaxing. Sunday no workout most of the time and just lounging around the house or an outing or two depends. Sedentary or Lightly Active?

Keep in mind with MFP, your activity level is only supposed to be your daily hum drum...your exercise is logged serperately after the fact and then you eat those calories back (allowing for some estimation error). So if you do this properly, just account for your going to work an daily chores and what not...then add in the exercise calories later. Conversely, you could use a TDEE calculator which would include all of your activity...but I'd really recommend just doing it MFP's way to start.
As to which you are, it's kind of a trial and error thing.0 -
As long as you're meeting your goals, whatever you're doing is working.0

If you're logging the walks, sedentary. If not, lightly active. Assuming you're logging the workouts.0

I have to agree with this.
There is only about, what, a 150 calorie a day difference in the two settings.
If you are having success, keep doing what you're doing. It's when you hit a stall for a month that you need to rethink things.
That said, I don't have a job, nor children at home and I have a small place, so not a lot of chores. I exercise about three to five times a week for an hour. I find the Sedentary level to be too low for me.

Sedentary then log your exercise calories.0

I have a desk job as well. I have my activity level set at sedentary and then I log my walking around and other exercise separately from it. I figured it out that I walk about 30 minutes during my breaks/lunch at a slow pace, so I log it in the cardio section. Hope this helps!0
