I'm thinking about switching to Tea from coffee. They both have zero calories but, with tea you don't need creamer and usually you don't need sugar. Thoughts?

Well I LOVE COFFEE and there is no way in hell that a cup of tea is going to wake me up in the morning. Have you tried stevia? Its an all natural 0 calorie sweetener that does not have any weird unnatural chemicals in it, its made from the stevia plant. You could also get sugar free flavored creamers and then you don't need to add sugar & they are low calorie, it just depends if you are okay with the artificial sweeteners (i try to eat a mostly all natural diet, but that doesn't work for everyone). Lately I have just been using one stevia packet, and 2-4 tbs of organic half and half creamer which isnt too bad calorie/fat wise. Or if I get a latte from a coffee shop I get soy milk and sugar free flavoring in it. Also, I am someone who puts sweetener and cream in my tea too lol.0

I think if it works for you, you should do it. I have just "learned" to drink my coffee black. I actually was surprised at how easy it was and that I like black coffee. For me, that saved close to 100 cals that I can use so much better somewhere else. So if you can find tea you like, then you should drink that. I have never really liked tea myself, so the black coffee thing worked much better for me. Good luck finding your awwww in the morn.0

Mkay, I will look into that stevia sweetener. Do you know what isle of the grocery store it would be in? For me I like tea buy itself. I've tried honey, but it seemed to never do much for the flavor of the tea.0 -
Stevia is usually by the other artificial sweeteners.
That said, unless it's French or Italian Roast, I take my coffee straight up. French/Italian Roast gets a shot of milk.0 -
Both! I drink both
I drink coffee about half the mornings with sugar and a little cream (one sugar cube, splash of cream - not too many cals). I drink iced tea (unsweet) all the time. When I drink hot tea, I usually put a sugar cube in.0 -
I think the Stevia is in the same isle as sugar or whatever isle they have Splenda and other artificial sweeteners. Also, another all natural sweetener that is similar to honey is called Agave, its really good and sometimes it can be a healthier alternative to honey. Its not 0 calorie, but its pretty good for you My mom likes to put honey in her coffee! LOL, its actually pretty good. Another thing I thought of was that in the coffee isle you can get sugar free drink syrups like the ones they use at coffee houses. I used to get those before I got on the whole health freak thing and stopped having artificial stuff so much.0

I drink both too. Coffee in the morning at home with a little unsweetened vanilla almond milk (very low cal and yummy!) then green tea (nothing added) once I get to work.
P.S. Try a better brand of coffee? When i splurge and get Green Mountain vs the store brand flavored coffee, there is definitely a difference in flavor/quality.0 -
LOL I didn't even think to suggest sweetening the coffee or tea with almond milk or soy milk. They have them in vanilla and plain and they usually have like only 80 calories for a cup. Vanilla coconut milk is really good too0

Tea all the way. My friends & fam call me a kid because the main reason why I don't drink coffee is because it taste gross to me. No sweetner helps either. Haha.0

I drink both. Tried to mix it up by only drinking tea, but truth be told, I really enjoy my coffee. It's my splurge each day. I use regular creamer. In the afternoons I drink decaf teas, there are so many varieties.0

Coffee to me is fun and gives me a bit of a kick for my workouts if needed, I do use sugar free creamer and a bit of almond milk to make it good. My husband likes it black..eww
Tea is more serious and I think has better benefits. I like Oolong and decaf green tea0 -

Black coffee, no sugar.
Earl Grey or Lapsang Souchon neither with milk. Assam benefits from a little milk and sometimes Darjeeling can take it but by preference I don't use either milk or sugar in tea.0 -
I love tea with milk and stevia, but can drink it black if need be. It's all about personal taste really. Tea also has some added health benefits like antioxidants. Green tea is more beneficial than black tea but black tea has it's own set of benefits.0

Both. Coffee with a splash of skim and a dash of cinnamon. Tea usually herbal no sugar or milk.0

I love black coffee0

Way too personal. I can do straight tea or coffee.0

Oh, another thing I like to do that can make your coffee taste better.. When you put the coffee grounds in, sprinkle a few dashes of cinnamon in there as well before you brew it. It infuses the cinnamon flavor into the coffee.0

Hmm, that sounds interesting. I might try that sometime.0
