5st 5lbs lost so far

It's been a long journey but slow and steady wins the race. At my heaviest weight of 22st 5lbs at the beggining of 2018 I had a blood sugar reading of 24mmol/l and was diagnosed as diabetic type 2.

I've shed 5.5lbs so far and feel great. My blood sugar readings are now around 11mmol/l which is still high but I'm happy it's coming down.

I would like to lose 2 more stone and get my blood sugars into the normal range.

My Fitness Pal has been a tremendous help along the journey.

There was a time that I never thought I'd feel healthy again but I am starting to now. Putting my socks on doesn't feel like a chore anymore and I'm not crushing my lungs with my belly when bending down to put the socks on.

It's the little wins that make the difference.

I hope this might encourage others.

Good for you. :flowerforyou: You must feel like an entirely different person. I know that losing 5.7 stone (80 pounds total) for me was life changing.

    Never forget, I say.

    Onward!
