16 months ago I thought it was never possible. Ended up doing 4 months in 2022, and now wrapped up the second month in 2023. Working out a lot more in this stint, getting 100+ grams of protein daily vs only about 20-30 in the previous stint. Always thought I could never do it until I did. Goal Weight is still about 150 so just about 2/3rd of the way there.
I would suggest weighing yourself at max once per week if you’re on an intense cut, or once every 2 weeks if its a slower cut. The scale is likely the only motivation because the eye results take longer. Other people will notice before you do too since they don’t see you every day. Sometimes you will change nothing and gain 2lbs in a week, other weeks you’ll lose double of what you’re averaging to loose, don’t get demotivated by the scale. Also try to weigh yourself either in the morning or at night, but keep your weigh times consistent.
Another thing, the lower down you drop, the more drastic each lbs looks with the eye test.
Finally, TAKE PROGRESS PICTURES. You can delete them after your cut, but you can’t go back in time and take them. It is the easiest way to see the changes dropping 10/15/20 lbs made, because depending on where you start, 20lbs might not look significant in the mirror when you see yourself every single day. However, using a picture to look at yourself 2 months ago really proves how much you’ve changed.
Just a couple of things I’ve learned through my journey.
