What’s the best way to get an accurate BMI?

Use any bmi calculator. They're all the same. It's just one mathematical equation, not like calorie calculators.1

BMI = body mass index, a ratio of weight and height. There are calculators, and no mystery.
Do you mean BMR? That's basal metabolic rate, the estimated number of calories you'd burn in a coma, not even eating. There are so-called calculators for that, too. It's really not a very useful number by itself, though.
I'm wondering if you really mean TDEE? That's total daily energy expenditure, the estimated number of calories you'd burn daily during everything you do. There are lots of so-called calculators for that, too. I prefer this one:

TDEE isn't the applicable estimate you need for MFP's intended method of weight management though. MFP will estimate that number for you when you set up your profile here.
