Help

I am having a time with cravings and continuous over eating. I am trying intermittent fasting which begins at 7 PM and ends at 11 AM the following day. Does anyone know what foods that I can eat with low calories? I’m really trying to stay focused. Today is my first day on my fitness weight loss journey.

Hello, I also do IF with TRE (time-restricted eating). If outside of my window I really feel hungry, I eat butter. Like a couple of pats of butter or something. Maybe some bone broth with butter in it.

Or I'll whip coconut oil into coffee and drink it.

Fat is satiating so it helps soothe food cravings and ease hunger pangs; no blood sugar spikes, quickly absorbed.

Yeah, I mean...there are several ways to answer that.

One way is eating something with fat and/or protein like the first answer above (even thought it's NOT low calorie, like jwanda3848 asked.) Have something that doesn't spike your insulin - so staying away from carb-y things like bread, crackers, cereal, sweets etc.

    2. Are you trying to eat low calorie in general? That usually backfires by becoming impossible to adhere to low calories in general. Set your Goals reasonably, don't eat so little that you are starving yourself. 1200 is way too low, for instance.

    3. What is it you think you will gain by a restricted feeding window? If it's something that will work for you it should be fairly effortless or at the very least not hard for you. Otherwise, maybe it's not for you.

    4. Eat a well-balanced plan for the day. Plenty of protein, fat and fiber. 4-6 servings of whole fruit or vegetables.

Did you go directly into a 14 hour fast? If so, then it may be too long for you to begin with. Maybe try 10-12 first and go from there.

What are you overeating generally, I suspect it isn't vegetables.
