confused about calorie intake increasing

before picture shows my calorie intake, i did a 20 minute jog and my intake was increased when i burned 244 calories?

    That's how many calories you have left available to eat. You're jog burned 244 calories, so you have 244 calories more available to eat.

    This is how MFP works: you get rewarded for exercising. And you should eat more when you exercise as your body needs the extra energy to prevent muscle loss, gallbladder and heart problems, and basically just crashing and giving up. However, calorie estimates for exercise are often grossly overstated, and 244 calories for a 20 minute jog sounds like a lot. Unless you're very obese and you ran up a hill. So I would suggest you eat a part of these extra calories and see how your weightloss goes, for at least 4 weeks. If you lose faster than your weightloss goal then eat more. Slower: eat a bit less.
