Re-motivation time!

Hello! I’m a 49 year old woman who’s ready to get motivated! I should lose 50ish pounds but I’m going to focus on 20 for now. Most recently I’ve been doing keto and IF but it’s not really working for me anymore. I reset my starting and goal weights today and am starting fresh. Going to give up IF and keto to focus on calories in/out but adjusting my macros to keep them low carb. I’ve used MFP for years but never used the community as motivation. So here we go! I’d love to hear about your recent successes and what works for you!

I'm reading a lot of sensible things in your post: intermediate goal, starting fresh because you don't feel your strategy is working....
I had a lot of success focusing just on calories in and out: just sticking with my calorie goal eating the foods I was used to. I chose a show rate of loss, intentionally.
When it clicked in my head that being more active meant more calories to consume (synced fitness tracker) I gradually became more active. My way of eating hasn't changed hugely - the changes I've made were because tracking my calories made me more conscious of what foods give more (or less) pleasure compared to their calorie density. My activity level has changed hugely though, I'm a runner and walker now, big change from couch potato 😁
70+ lbs down since 2019 (most of it lost from mid 2019 to mid 2022). From a BMI of 34 to 22.1
