Hi new here and on my quest to loose 100 lbs or more

Hi all, I am Des and for medical reasons ie replacement hip and bad knees and back, Severe sleep apnea and recently diagnosed pre diabetic I am now determined to loose 100 lbs. Due to physical limitations exercise is now done via a walking pad which is great for me. I started this quest on Sept 9th weighing in at 269 lbs and my goal is to loose 100 lbs or more. I am currently sitting at 247 lbs, a loss of 22 lbs in 5 weeks by walking on the pad and following Keto diet.

    Hey Des! Welcome to the MFP community! I don't know if I am really qualified to say that - although my profile says I have been a member since 2018, I only really starting connecting with people on these message boards in July when I stepped on the scale and it told me I had at least 60 pounds to lose! So I finally got brave and found a group here. Super helpful for me. I am also down 22 pounds.

    Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I don't think that anyone who takes a bit of a leap here and introduces themselves (as you did) should only be hearing crickets! Congratulations on those 22 pounds! That is fantastic!!! And congratulations on reaching out to the community! That might have taken courage, too. I hope you find some great people here.
