Broken friend adding system could be fixed easily.

For several months, people have complained that they’re unable to add friends. The reason for this is very simple and could be fixed in minutes.
Most people normally add friends like this:
- Go to MFP community
- Click on community profile of desired friend
- Click on ‘view MyFitnessPal profile’
- Add to friend list
Except at the current time, the third step doesn’t work. The links between the community forum profiles and the MFP profiles are broken. When you attempt to click through to somebody’s MFP profile, it redirects incorrectly.
This could be fixed with a five minute modification to the code, the redirect is erroneously pointing to the the user profile’s account number and not account name:
Example, my profile is:
www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/redux1985
but for reasons unknown, the app redirects to something like:
www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/10003474636
You just need to modify the script to redirect to the URL of the actual username and not the associated number.
It’s a no brainer to fix this. This site would be so much more vibrant and active if people could add friends easily, most people give up on trying to add people when the above steps fail to work.
Thanks for your consideration
