iPhone 15 and scanning barcodes

I'm finding that MFP no longer focuses the camera when scanning barcodes with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I'm pretty sure the MFP on my old iPhone XS Max did utilize the camera in a fashion that allowed it to focus. Can anyone confirm that the MFP barcode scanner previously auto-focused and any iPhone 15 Pro Max users could confirm that it no longer works?

Does yours still work? I'm on android and while it would never focus, it would scan. Now I can't scan at all0
