One for the ladies - water retention and sore boobs?

I've spent many years not being very in tune with my body, so forgive the potential newbie question! I have now managed to link my water retention days with a high sodium intake...but now I think I've linked water retention with sore boobs? Does anyone else get this?

I used to get this around TOM, but I have an implant now so I don't really get PMT.

Your input is most welcome ladies :)
