Variance in macros for a single description

Options
Trying to find the truth. On my fitness pal, macros, specifically protein for boneless skinless chicken breast. The range is from high 5 to 9 grams of protein. Why is there no governance on this?
There are over a dozen choices? I finally went to the FDA web site to get the ‘truth’ and fits with what I’ve been taught for the past 40 years. 1 oz of chicken has just over 6grms of protein, and a bit of fat. Not sure what kind of chickens are producing 9 grams/ oz.

The food database is crowdsourced, there are undoubtedly many mistakes.
The upside is that the database is much larger than some other apps with a more controlled database.

There are also variations in preparation (cooked will have more protein per 100gr than raw) not always mentioned in the name of the food. And some variations depending on the type of animal and breeding conditions etc.
