I am new to this app so let’s give this a try. I normally don’t post a lot of things or really open about my health or weight issues. I just turned 20 back in October and have been dealing with gaining weight since my freshman year. Birth control and depression took over that year. I started pulling back from people and going out. I lost my dad when I was 10 and didn’t really deal with it in a healthy way I just kind of pushed it back. That year seemed to start off the most of my depression problems. I also have pretty bad scoliosis so I wasn’t the most active because certain things caused me a lot of pain. Every year after freshman year seemed to bring a new problem, more depression, stress, and medicine. I gained a lot of weight but lost control when my husband and I got together, i graduated and started working a full time job at a nursing home as a night cook. The manager treated me very poorly when she became manager and put me as the assistant. I was the manager without the pay. The worst part was the fact that she had known me since I was in second grade I grew up with her daughter and watched and took her special needs son. She gave me ridiculous hours, yelled at me for everything, blamed me for everything, and not to mention body shamed. She treated everyone poorly. She always put herself first. She literally referred to me as her “little b….” on multiple occasions. With all the stress, strain on my body and mental health, medication, and pcos my weight went through the roof. I finally had enough and left and now I’m at an amazing nursing home cooking and enjoying my job and coworkers. I’ve been able to lose 30 pounds! I’m figuring out health issues and medications that actually help and getting off some. My husband, mom, stepdad, and I go to the gym every other day we’ll at least try to. It has really helped not only weight loss but my mental health as well. I love with my nieces and being able to do things with them again is amazing. I’m always looking for tip and tricks. Also new friends!
