    Any diet that requires you buy their supplement in order to be sucessful is a scam.

    Stick to the basics.

    Programs that center around supplements are usually expensive, and usually not sustainable for the entirety of life. For someone like me, with a tendency to become overweight, "the entirety of life" is the relevant time horizon, if I want not just to reach a healthy weight, but stay there. (Bona fides: I'm in year 7+ of maintaining a healthy weight now, after 30ish years of overweight/obesity before that.)

    GOLO also appears to argue some bad science.

    I'm sure it works for some people, for some time, though. Virtually anything will work for some people some of the time . . . or even work for a few people, long term.
