Calorie counting

Hi I’m 50 years old, weigh 87kg
I’m wanting to count calories to lose weight, how do I find out what amount of calories I should be eating to lose weight. I don’t like exercise but I’ve started walking 3k a day

This can give a decent estimate of your TDEE.

Note that MFP's estimates do not include your workouts, whereas the above calculator does.

That's a starting point. 500 calories deficit per day amounts to one pound per week lost. If you are losing faster or slower, and your tracking is on point, then that informs you what your actual TDEE is.
