I am Sami, a 20 something female going from the life of college and college athletics to a desk job. Decided I needed an app to not let my eating and weight get out of control. Feel free to add me if you are in a similar position or want to cheer me on!

That's very smart! I've been close to a university rowing team (women) over a number of years, including seeing some of them sometimes post-graduation for a decade or more. Many of them who continue their college eating habits, but don't do much exercise, do gain substantial amounts of weight, sometimes fairly quickly. The most common cases I know of who've stayed slim have continued high activity levels, though I'm sure some do it by managing the eating side of the equation.
Best wishes for finding a routine that enhances your life and keeps you at a healthy weight long term: Great plan!2
