Of course, today is Thanksgiving and we will all have our crosses to bear. I will be eating pretty good. Lo carbs, veggies, sweet potato (with marshmallow), and of course turkey. It was pointed out to me that egg nog will be available, and did I want any. So pray for me. Not sure which way I am going to go. But I do love me some egg nog. Need some encouragement and support. Thanks!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING1 -
One day is a drop in the ocean.
Thanksgiving is a holiday of celebration. Sure, be reasonable, but don't deny yourself all holiday pleasures. (It sounds like you do have some planned. But if it were me, I'd have a moderate portion of that special treat eggnog, TBH.) Life is about balance, and it's what we do the majority of our days that determines the majority of our outcomes.
As long as you get back on your regular healthy routine tomorrow and keep going on that track, everything will be fine.
There may be a multi-pound scale jump tomorrow, but it'll be most water retention from eating in an unusual way, plus extra waste in the digestive tract on its way to the exit. In a week or so, the water weight will settle out, and I predict that there'll be no more than a tiny blip in progress, if even that.
(All of this said from the perspective of year 7+ in maintenance, after a year of loss from obese to healthy weight, and 30 years before that of overweight/obesity.)
Happy Thanksgiving! :flowerforyou:6 -
Thanks for the support. I did spurge a bit on the sweets, but got started right this morning.2

For me, if I don’t allow myself to enjoy the special occasion foods, it makes it harder to stay on plan the rest of the time. Denial doesn’t work for me long-term2

You know what I did this year? I decided our Thanksgiving dinner would be eating out. How much damaage could i do in a meal at a restaurant. I ordred trout almondine.. had a shrimp cocktail.. and one trip to the salad bar. The best idea i ever had. no dishes and reason to dress up and get out of the house.3
