Step Aerobics

Just got me a Step Deck, Golds Gym brand. Did a basic step aerobic workout that I found on YouTube by Jenny Ford. It was great she was super easy to follow. Any tips on step aerobics? I was afraid it would be outdated but it wasn't at all. How often do you do your step workouts? I have a long way to go but I don't want to burn out too quickly.

I love doing step-aerobics, but I don't have my own step. I either use the curb by the street in front of my house and hope that no one walks by, or I use the step in the doorway going into the garage from the kitchen. It's been too hot to have the garage door open though, and I usually don't like being out where people can see me working out, so I haven't really done any step-aerobics in a long time. I remember the steps from when I did aerobics in middle school and I use those. They were from a video, but I can't remember the name of the video.

I'm taking step aerobics as a fitness class in college, so I do step on mon/wed for about a half hour. It's fun, especially as you get familiar with the moves and the platform so you can bump up the intensity. I personally find it to be a huge leg and ab workout because I'm always engaging my core throughout the workout. By the end of class I'm dripping sweat way more than everyone else since no one else is familiar with step aerobics. Plus adding more risers underneath the platform helps with the burn

Hi! I loved step aerobics when they were offering it through Jazzercise. It's fun to go to class and step, sweat and have a good time. I went 3 times a week back then. Glad you found something you enjoy, that's important. :-)

I loved step aerobics. The gym I used to go to offered a class 6 days a week and I'd go to 4 or 5 of them. My current gym doesn't offer classes and I kind of miss it. It was a lot of fun.
